The faeries of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival are in search of a new home!
Everyone in the King’s land is invited to participate in the Fairy House Competition as entry is free. Get inspired by the environment and create with earthly materials! Make a fairy garden or use a fun planting pot as the base for easy transportation. Decorate your house inside and out!
Contest is FREE to enter.
All fairy houses must be a minimum size of 12″ wide by 12″ long and a maximum size of 16″ wide by 166″ long. Fairy houses should be durable to weather elements as they will be displayed in the Special Events Field. Make sure your fairy house has a strong sturdy base and is light enough to carry for easy transportation. Fairy houses must have first/last name attached and must match the name on the entry form.
Each submitted Fairy House competitor will receive one free admission ticket, only valid weekends 1 – 4 + Festival Friday. See the application form for more rules and tips.

Fairy Houses dropped off after 10 AM Day Of Participation (August 19th – August 20th 2023) will not be accepted!
Forms are recommended to be completed before the Once Upon A Time weekend for a more efficient set up for the competition.
Once completed, you may drop off your fairy house at the B-Gate (to the right of King’s Gate).
You may pick up your Fairy House at the Special Events Field between 5 – 7 PM (must show your Google Form submission with name to prove it is yours).

Judging will be concluded for each day by the Fae Coterie Circle Council.

Once Upon a Time… there was a dog who was rescued… and they lived happily ever after. This race is for Minnesota’s favorite breed – Rescue Dogs! For adopted, fosters, shelter dogs – all who have found or are looking for their happily ever after are welcome here.
*An “Anything Goes” dog race, open to all breeds, mixes & sizes, will immediately follow the theme race.
For the first two weekends of the Festival, our patrons will be able to support their favorite shoppes & get rewarded! Turn in your receipts totaling $250 or more to the Information Booth located inside of King’s Gate by August 27th and receive one free admission ticket to return during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Weekend as well as Festival Friday.
Memorial Blood Centers and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival have partnered once again to bring you the Annual Blood Drive! Donate blood and receive FREE ADMISSION to the Festival! Bloodmobiles will be located near King’s Gate, Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Register at www.mbc.org/searchdrives SPONSOR CODE: 4149.
Experience a day filled with fantasy, magic, & more at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival’s Once Upon a Time weekend, August 19 and 20. The weekend is filled with family friendly fun & the best part is kids ages 5 to 12 attend for FREE with an adult ticket purchase! Adult tickets must be purchased at the Festival box office for this promotion and kids 4 and under are FREE all season long.
No poison apples here! Just an appley ever after for all the hardworking K-12 teachers, school faculty, & staff, who can get FREE admission by order of his majesty King Henry to the Once Upon a Time weekend (August 19-20). Simply present a valid school ID badge at the box office for your discount.
Congratulations! The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is celebrating your Honor Roll achievement by providing you a FREE complimentary ticket to the 2023 festival. Bring your A or B report card to the box office to receive your discount. Promotion active for current elementary through college students.
Any member of the armed services, active or veteran, will receive $5 off their gate Admission to the festival with the proper ID. It’s our special way of saying thank you to our country’s biggest heroes. This deal is valid for all current and past military members with government issued ID. To take advantage of this discount, present a valid military ID at the festival box office. Limit one per person.
