Ceremony
It is the responsibility of the wedding couple to arrange an officiator for your ceremony who is legally recognized by the state of Kansas, though the Festival has a list of officiators that can be referred to you. A Kansas marriage license must be presented to KCRF at least one week in advance of the ceremony. A Renaissance style monk's robe will be
provided for your officiator.
Reception Facility
You and your guests are invited to continue the festivities with a reception at our Faire! Catered reception prices include rental of the facility, set-up, cleanup, service and maintenance of the buffet, all table coverings and place settings. Rates begin at $300.00 for the
first two hours and additional charges will vary depending on your requirements.
Parking
Parking will be available to you and your guests near the designated entrance for wedding participants and guests. Parking is provided free of charge. Although the Festival is accessible for the physically challenged, if you have someone in your party that requires special
attention, please inform us prior to the event so that adequate arrangements may be made.
Festival Admission
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival offers three wedding packages, two of which include complimentary admissions. Additional admissions may be purchased at reduced rates. Tickets or wristbands will be used for your guests admission. The wedding couple must distribute these
tickets or bands in advance. Admission prices begin at $12.00 per adult and $6.00 per child. This preferred discount saves over $4.00 on regular gate admission! Complimentary admission is provided for ceremony officiator, photographer, and wedding couple.
Feasts
Delight your guests with a feast of traditional Festival foods! Choose a sumptuous banquet from our various menu options, sure to tempt the most discriminating palate! Our menus range from a buffet style assortment of meats, cheeses and vegetable trays to a full Festival
Feast with our famous turkey legs and corn on the cob. Soft drinks and bottled water are included in the menu prices. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased at an additional cost. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted on the Festival grounds. Food service will be available during a two-hour window which coincides
with the rental time of the facility. Call for menu pricing. Special menus can be designed to fit your needs. The KCRF catering department does not provide wedding cake. Arrangements can be made if you wish to have an outside caterer provide your cake.
Dressing Area
We strongly suggest the wedding party arrive dressed and prepared for the ceremony. Dressing areas are limited and depend on availability. There are portable restrooms and Royal Flush Privies available nearby.
Entertainment
If you would like to arrange for entertainment at an additional cost, we would be happy to provide referrals of Festival musicians and entertainers. Any prerecorded music must be approved at least one week prior to your to ensure consistency with the Festival theme.
Financial Arrangements
A deposit of 30% is required upon signing of the contract, the balance to be paid in full no later than two weeks prior to the date of the event.
