Astrolith Grimwald Greenstem Greenleaf
Name Given at Birth: Astrolith Grimwald Greenstem Greenleaf
Nicknames: twig, branch and treetop
Hometown or where you were born: At the Dolwyddelan Castle near the village of Dolwyddelan, Conwy in North Wales
Current Residence: Canterbury currently
Age: Well I was born in 1270 and it is now the year of 1533 you do the figures. 263years? Ah see you would make a good wizard too!
Class: Wizard! Ah a "Hedge Wizard" to be exact.
What do you do, your main function in life/society: I serve the royal family by consulting the signs of magik of the earth, the stars, and read sheep entrails. The King has asked me to test all the wands for the weekins in the shire. I suppose that one of those misfiring might be considered a small disaster.
Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: Yes and yes! I get wet on a regular basis weather I need it or not. I really like to stand out in a storm and feed the elementals.
Do you make fun of people: No I m usually quite serious. But have you seen those flops?
Favorite Color: Green, and Gold, and Silver. I also like the color of Diamonds, Rubies and Emeralds too.
Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: No I have been misunderstood a time or two and it has gotten me into some minor troubles.
Closest friends/How did you meet: Ah that would have to be the "Maestro", he is like a brother to me since he aided me during one of those misunderstandings I spoke of. The Maestro is also a master of merriment sought by many from the Royal Court. It is rumored that he is also an agent of the English King and Queen going where they can not openly go, but I know not for certain. He is also good friend to the king and helped me attain this job from the Lady Mayor.
One Pillow or two: I have more than two pillows there for my back you know.
Pets: I have two familiars that I know of. They are more than pets, almost friends!
Favorite Type of Music: Favorite type of music: Need you ask? Why Gypsy music of course! I am more than a little partial to Leonora’s harp. I have traveled to many lands and listened to many types of music and song. But none sounds sweeter or entertains better than that of my gypsy friends.
Hobbies/Pastimes: Soaking in the Hot Springs is number one. Quite often I get the urge to wander deep into the surrounding forest and look for unusual plants and animals, but I think its just an excuse to get away from it all for a time.
Personal Hygiene: I try and mix with a water elemental at least each week or at least get wet. And I always take advantage of any wandering rain showers that happen my way.
Favorite Food: I have not met a food that I did not like! My gypsy friends all cook such mouth-watering meals, I love to drop in around dinnertime and visit. Hey are you going to eat all that?
Are your parent’s alive, do you get along with them: Alas no I have out lived them both. They have both passed on to the great reward in their sleep. My father at the ripe old age of 51 and my mother (bless her soul) about a year later I think. She was 48. Both of them departed in the deep of winter.
Favorite place to relax: Remember those hot springs I mentioned and there is also a cave deep in the woods that I also like to visit for meditation.
Favorite Holy Day / Why: Yuletide of course it’s better to give than receive, but I do love to receive lots of gifts. Its also a magikical time of the year.
Favorite Drink: A small sip of mead now and then is all I allow myself. It is best to keep a clear head esp. where magik is concerned. So it is usually spring water that I drink.
What's your bedtime: When the Gypsy encampment goes quiet and dark, I know I m up past my bedtime.
What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: Sandals or boots or whatever is handy.
Are you married or single: I’m married to my work, but I never pass up on a lady’s company.
Do you have a family / who are they: I have two younger brothers who joined the priesthood.
Favorite Entertainment: Watching the Gypsy entertainers and dancers of course!
Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: learning to read Earth signs and tending the animals
Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Working with water elementals, they’re just so temperamental.
Favorite Sport: Ah the joust of course. Swordplay comes in second.
Most Humiliating Moment: Having a simple spell go awry and cause havoc in front of my teachers.
Proudest Moment: Mastering the same spell
Craziest Person or silliest you know: That beggar boy "Dustbin" He is a person of few words, but with deep meaning. Clean Clean!
What do you look for in the opposite sex: A comely face, a keen mind and good conversation. Being able to cook would be a plus, but is not required. Oh and must be able to play chess.
In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" I answer directly to the wizards council, but don’t let the lord and lady mayor know that and certainly not the royal family. I’m always at there service.
Favorite Sport to watch: The Joust of course! and swordplay too.
Do you remember your first kiss: No, but if the lady "Wyddelain" is out there somewhere? I would be amendable to a reminder or two.
Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: No I have out lived them all even my parents.
Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot? It’s a magikical place to be sure!
Have you ever been overseas: I m well traveled and have spent considerable time on the high seas. But if I have a choice I would rather stay on firmer ground.
Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: I believe they are a highly polished teakwood or at least a well-worn oak anyway. I am borrowing one of the gypsy’s wagons and using the fine hospitality of there camp.
What is your bed made of: I use a device called a hammock. You tie each end of it to a couple of trees or walls of your wagon and you have a great bed.
How many people sleep in your bed: Only one at present, I could make room if you need a place to stay?
