7/9 recap:

Thanks for listening to my soapbox session of the three things that can get you through ANYTHING.
If you put these to practice throughout your life, I truly believe you will get results:

1. Show up & Be Ready To Work
2. Have a Good Attitude
3. Follow Up On How You Are Doing

We also welcomed a new member to our cast, Ericia.

I'm having some issues getting your surveys so we're going to try to send them to: WandaLouise2000@Yahoo.com.

I'm thinking that we'll possibly have our scavanger hunt / fun day on Sunday, August 17th.  I noticed that scenario and court are off that
day.  Of course, they might be traveling to another faire but it'll be a free day nonetheless and we'll have fun!

The apprentice rehearsal church is:
Cornerstone, Community of Christ Church
1316 South Osage, Independence MO 64055

Tudor England:

General History Sites:

Language:

The best way to learn the language is to immerse yourself in it. You have to start using the language now in order to have it roll off your tongue convincingly in September and October. We will have classes to teach you language, but here are some places to start.

Costuming:

Movies and Television to watch to help you in your Elizabethan immersion. Ask around. Even if you don't have these, lots of your fellow performers do and they're more than willing to share. This is just the short list, there are so many more out there. Part of the fun is finding them!

  • Shakespeare in Love
  • Elizabeth R
  • Blackadder Part II - set in the Elizabethan period, the costumes and language is just outstanding!
  • Ever After - there is a lot of modern references, but still some great language
  • Anne of a Thousand Days
  • The Six Wives of Henry the VIII
